The Ventura operating system release for MAC in late 2022 made a change to installation of drivers for Prolific devices. This may affect use of those devices completely... there is not enough testing for that concluision, yet.
Right now, I want to talk about the Yaesu SCU cable series. The drivers for these cables will install only from the App store.
This will get it done:
- Once signed in to the App store, search for Prolific Technologies
- From the list presented, select PL2303 and complete installation.
- After installation is complete, access Privacy and Security
- Give the PL2303 app permission to run
Remember, while the RT Systems programmers will work with the Yaesu cables once you have the drivers installed and the cable properly set up in the operating system, there are RT Systems cables that work with these radios and programmers that do not require installation of special drivers for Ventura.
