USB-63 Cable Signals
The USB-63 handles RTS/CTS signals however not DTR/DSR signals as these are two independent functions of serial protocol. This is in addition to Serial TX, Rx and Ground.
The USB-63 cable is in essence a basic USB to serial adapter however the gender is wrong. The better choice is the USB-64 that is a male DB-9 connector (better suited to mate to another serial cable)... but your choice, given your application.
Also the USB-65 which can be used in some applications is a null-modem serial adapter...yep... had one ham REALLY GLAD to see that.
