To start cross-band repeat mode in the Yaesu FTM-350 radio, turn the radio off, then turn it back on while holding the key to the left of the power button. Then, turn the left dial to option 11 and press the dial twice to start cross band repeat mode.
If the radio does not respond when you press the dial, check the APRS Modem. The radio cannot enter cross-band repeat mode if the APRS Modem is on. You can disable the APRS Modem either using the RT Systems programming software, or directly from the radio's face by following these steps:
- Press the SET key
- Turn the left dial to select to APRS/PKT, then press the dial
- Turn the left dial to E05 APRS MODEM, then press the dial
- Turn the left dial to select OFF, then press the dial
- Press the ESC key twice to close the menu mode
