VX-7: Name Display

On the VX-7, the Name display appears only if the radios is in single receive and small characters. To get into correct display:

1) Press V/M if necessary, until MR appears at upper left of the display of the radio.

2) Press and HOLD Main or sub (depending on whether you are using Main or Sub frequency) until the radio is in single display mode.

3) Press Moni then Main to toggle between large and small characters.

4) Name will be displayed under the frequency when small characters / single receives.

OR...

Set this up in the programming software.

1) Settings | Radio Menu settings | Toggles | uncheck Dual receive.

2) Settings | Radio Menu Settings | Display | Uncheck Display2x

3) Click Close | Apply Changes and Close (this saves your changes)

4) Complete Communications | Send data to radio.
