The VX-7 may seem to be locked when it is not. The Mask function on the memory channels can make it seem that the radio is locked. Disable the Mask function to return to normal operations.
This is done in the programmer by unchecking the box in the Mask column for every channel that has it engaged. Check the entire column. Having this one for just one channel can cause unexpected behavior in the radio.
Doing this on the radio is much more complicated. The option would have to be turned off and the channel re-saved to complete that change.
