If the keypad is locked, you will be able to get the radio into clone mode, but the radio will not respond to the key press needed for the remainder of the process...
The keys are unlocked by pressing the power button very briefly,.
Watch for the lock symbol to disappear from the face of the radio indicating that the lock is off.
This can be done while the radio is in CLONE mode.
