We cannot say that it will, or that it will not. We know nothing of the cable that you are trying to use with this radio. Also, we have not tested that cable to be able to give a definite "Yes" or "No".
If you have been using that cable with a different program on that particular radio, then most likely it will work with the RT Systems programmer as long as you set the com port properly in the RT Systems Programmer (Communications | Com Port Setup).
Consider this:
- The RT Systems programmers now have Com Port setup allowing you to assign a port for a cable to use. There should be no issue using that cable as long as everything else is right, including:
- electronics and wiring for the proper port on the radio,
- that you have found and installed the proper drivers for its electronics,
- you have assigned the correct port in the program.
- The RT Systems cables are guaranteed to work with the radio and the program and
- You do not have to search for drivers. They are included with the program installation.
- You know without doubt that if we say a given cable works with the radio, it has been well tested with that radio using the programmer.
- You do not have to assign a com port. The program finds the RT Systems cable automatically.
