Strange Display of the radio

The TD-H8 radio can display a channel plus two others or one channel with other limited information.  The SYNC option controls the display. 

The SYNC function is REALLY neat... on other radios.  Not quite so remarkable on this one.  Mainly because it reduces the radio to a single receive model... not so bad if you have busy repeaters since none of us can really listen to two things at one time. 

With SYNC off,  the screen looks like this

This option is controlled from the menu (Menu Item 36) on the face of the radio to see the change instantly or through the Settings in the programmer. 

And yes, we called it Single Receive since that's what it makes the radio do. The programmer  corresponds to the menu setting of the radio... but remember... 

Unchecked is single receive

Checked is still single receive but with two channels displayed.
