RT-95: Enter Password on Startup

So you programmed your RT-95 with a password and now you don't remember what it is.  When powered on, the radio asks for that password and will do NOTHING else (including powering off) without it.

Here are some suggestions that will help you recover that radio. 

1. Access the computer file that you last programmed the radio with.  Check there for the information.  In the RT Systems programmer, you will find that information under Settings | Radio Menu Settings.  The Power-On password field is on the Common 1 tab of the settings. 
2. Access the RT Systems programmer for the Retevis RT-95 radio. With the radio asking for the password, connect the cable to the radio then complete Communications | Get data from radio. When the process is complete, the radio will return to "normal" mode.
   
   BUT... when you turn the radio off, it will ask again for the password when powered on. You have not completed the fix for the problem. Use the options in the Radio Menu Settings to eliminate the password or to change it to something you will remember. Then complete Communications | Send data to radio to complete the fix and again have a useable radio.
