Does the APK-W70 work with the DJ-W70HT

Does the RT Systems APK-W70 programmer work with the DJ-W70HT?  There must be some meaning in that "HT" at the end of the radio designation.

The programmer offerred by RT Systems for the DJ-W70 works with the DJ-W70HT.  This is a case of a unique identifier for the programmer, Alinco and W70, that reduces the need for all the lettering.

As for the meaning of the additional letters, only Alinco can verify by I would guess with 33 years in the business and a perusal of the description, the "H" is the high-power designation as this is an 8-watt radio which is greater than the general 5-watt handheld models.  The "T" denotes the American version of the radio as Alinco has always used a "T" for American version radios.

The two are omitted because first as I said, the W70 in the Alinco line is unique but in addition, the "H" is up to the radio and its power source. The "T" would indicate that the programmer is limited to the American radios only thus omitting all the others from around the world that carry designations for those locations.

As you see, a lot goes into naming the programmers.  But, it's always good to ask.
