The instructions in the programmer for the Wouxun KG-1000G and KG-1000G Plus radio include the statement to plug the cable into the PC jack on the left side of the radio.
Confusion arises between the mic jack on the right side of the radio and the PC jack on the left side. The mic jack accepts the same modular plug and is not covered. The PC jack on the LEFT side has a cover clearly marked PC but is not easily seen. Unfortunately, the radio DOES NOT PROGRAM through the mic jack although the cable fits.
The PC jack seems to be more difficult to locate. Let's check the manual for some details.
This jack is only for the microphone. The radio DOES NOT PROGRAM through the mic jack although the cable fits.
The PC connection on the LEFT sideof the radio is for the programming cable.

Remember, programming works through the PC port of the left side of the radio.
It does NOT work through the jack on the right side of the radio.
