Include or exclude Weather Channels while scanningWhen I set my Yaesu FT-2900 to scan Banks (B1, B2, or B3), it always includes scanning the Weather channels. I cannot seem to find a tab to turn off this feature. Is it possible to NOT include the WX in scanning banks?
Actually, this happens not only in bank scanning but during any scanning if Weather Alert is activated.
Use Menu Item 57 to disengage the weather alert function to eliminate the weather channels from the scan.
In the programmer, see Settings | Radio Menu Settings and uncheck Weather Alert (first column - last item) to make it so you do not turn the feature back on the next time you program the radio with the software. 10/14/2013
