The original IC-756 did not have programming abilities. Those abilities were only in the later IC-756 Pro series.
The IC-756 is a big desktop HF rig with the ability to be controlled from the computer; but, there is no access to programming the memories. The original IC-756 radio can use the USB-RTS01 in the remote port for control with software from other sources.
