Alinco has the DJ-MD5 DMR radio in several variations. Unfortunately, they all are imprinted with DJ-MD5 on the face making it difficult to tell which model you have.
Shown below are identifying information on each that we have and a reference to which of the RT Systems programmers works with that model.
The original was the DJ-MD5 with this label under the battery (that is the only place to really tell which one you have). This one carries DJ-MD5TGP on the label. It uses the APK-MD5 programmer
Next was the DJ-XLT. It uses the APK-MD5X programmer
The current model is the DJ-XTG. This one also uses the APK-MD5X programmer.
Both of these programmers are included in the setup downloaded with the serial number that you have from an earlier purchase or that is issued for a new purchase. Install the programmer that is correct for your model.
Watch for this screen during installation. Install one or both programmers.
