The RT Systems programmer generally finds the com port of the FT-710 automatically... but sometimes it's up to us humans to help the computer in this process.
When the FT-710 is connected to the computer through the USB-B port, these two entries appear in Device Manager. Even if you turn off the radio, these remain.
In the programmer, if you are prompted for the port
Select the Com port number that is the Enhanced port.
The other of the pair will not work.
The FT-710 Programmer will remember your selection and be ready for data transfer the next time.
